This is a pair of applications designed to facilitate recording case metadata for personal teaching files. The desktop application allows drag and drop from a Synapse PACS workstation, automatically populating case metadata. The user can add a free text description. A QR code is generated dynamically from concatenated metadata text separated by a vertical bar delimiter. The application also allows for direct retrieval of study data from the Synapse server, as well as drag and drop of a DICOM file. The Android mobile app contains a QR code scanner that scans the code from the desktop application, incorporating the data into an SQLite database. The data can be searched and edited, and new QR codes can be generated for sharing between mobile devices. Follow-up cases are flagged by color. Data can be imported from and exported to CSV files on the Android filesystem.
